// Why it matters
As your catalogue grows, spreadsheets and shop-only editing break down — data gets inconsistent, media goes missing, and every new channel means duplicate work. Codewerk Solutions builds custom product management (PIM) tools in Node.js and React: a central catalogue with enrichment workflows, media management, validation and multi-channel export to Shopware, marketplaces and feeds.
With one clean source of product data and controlled workflows, your team publishes faster, with fewer errors — and every sales channel shows complete, consistent information.
// In detail
What we actually do under the hood — so you can judge the work, not just the promise.
A product data tool built around your real attribute model, not a template's. Custom entities where the data has its own lifecycle, custom fields only for simple attributes — because you cannot index your way out of a JSON blob when 200,000 products need filtering.
Validation rules, required-field enforcement per category, duplicate detection and a bulk edit that does not require a developer. Optionally, AI-generated first-draft descriptions from your structured attributes — where every number in the text is machine-checked against the source data before a human ever reads it.
Product data is now an interface: an AI shopping assistant reads it to decide whether you are the answer. Missing GTINs, vague attributes and prices that only exist after login are places where you are silently skipped — so we treat completeness as a ranking feature.
// FAQ
It can be, or it can be the thin layer that makes your existing PIM or ERP usable. We build what closes your actual gap — often that is bulk editing and validation, not a whole new system.
It can write good first drafts from structured attributes, and a human approves them in batches with the source data side by side. What it must never do is invent a technical value — so every number is validated against the source before anyone sees it.
With a properly modelled attribute and option structure, decided before UI work begins. Most variant pain in an existing shop is a data-model problem wearing a UI costume.
